SLOTS STILL OPEN FOR USDA GRANT WORKSHOP
FOR MANISTEE COUNTY
Manistee, Michigan – About 20 slots remain open for a grant workshop aimed at helping Manistee County local governments, nonprofit organizations, businesses and others understand how to apply for federal assistance for USDA programs, loans and grants involving community development, business and housing.
The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Education and Training Center on the campus of West Shore Medical Center in Manistee. Individuals may register by contacting Tim Ervin at tervin26@charter.net or 231-723-4325. About 50 individuals have registered thus far.
Attached is an agenda for the workshop.
In the morning, four representatives from USDA will present information about programs, loans and grants. There will be a working lunch provided at no cost to participants. From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. there will be one-on-one discussions with the USDA reps and a chance to sign up for free grant writing technical assistance that will be offered at no charge through the Manistee County Community Foundation.
