MANISTEE COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SEEKS
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CANDIDATES

Manistee, Michigan – Candidates are being sought for an Executive Director position by the Board of Directors of the Manistee County Community Foundation.

“We are seeking candidates who want to be a part of the exciting progress that is happening in Manistee County,” said Laura Horvat, Board member and Search Team representative. “Whether it is health care, human services, arts and culture, economic development, or natural resource management, progress is underway and the Community Foundation has an instrumental role in building community capital to support our continued progress.”

Horvat said the 20-year-old organization just issued its Annual Report, showing fund assets of $1.6 million, up from the $1.1 million of the prior year. The Foundation’s primary mission is to build endowments through charitable giving that respond to important county needs and priorities. The Foundation has 41 funds.

“We are looking for individuals who have prior experience with fund development,” said Board and Search Team member Rosalind Jaffe. “An important function of the Executive Director is to help people connect their aspirations and passions about Manistee County with charitable giving.”
