MANISTEE CHAMBER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSITION
TO BE DEFINED IN NEW CHAMBER PLAN
Manistee, Michigan – The Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce Advisory Committee announced today its Executive Director position will be filled as a result of a community-driven process to develop a strategy for the Chamber's future.
“We are developing an ambitious schedule of county-wide focus groups and open meetings to obtain feedback and ideas to ensure that the Chamber’s strategy for the future meets the needs of current and future members,” said Chamber Advisory Committee President Mary Kaye Wilkosz who will oversee Chamber staff while the strategy is being prepared. “The strategy will include a position description for the Executive Director, a position that we will advertise and seek to fill as the strategy is completed. The strategy will be a living, breathing plan for the Chamber so the Executive Director, along with our members, will have an ongoing process to see that the Chamber meets expectations.”
Wilkosz said that the Chamber Advisory Committee is seeking to complete the strategy by September 17.
“The primary Chamber services and programs will continue to be delivered on a day-to-day basis by existing Chamber staff” said Chamber Advisory committee President Mary Kay Wilkosz.
Wilkosz said that questions involving Chamber services and events should be directed to Chamber staff at 231- 723-7525. Individuals or organizations wanting to participate in development of the Chamber’s strategy should contact Betsy Keson at 231-723-4325 or bkeson@manistee.com.
