Learn how Michigan Utilities provide financial incentives to help commercial customers – private businesses, government agencies, and schools – use the power of energy efficiency improvements to save money! Whether your building is new or old, by upgrading to energy efficient equipment you can reduce energy use and generate energy savings that go straight to your bottom line. You will realize savings not only through reduced energy consumption; you can also qualify for cash incentive payments from your electric or natural gas utility company.
The Manistee County Green Team Committee invites you to a special meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. Representatives from Consumers Energy and DTE Energy will make presentations about incentives/rebates for commercial customers on energy efficient products such as,
- lighting,
- HVAC,
- water heating,
- motor & drive systems, and
- customized energy efficiency projects.
Annually, only a certain amount of money is available for these incentives/rebates. It is important for applications to be timely and complete. Utility company presentations will go through the process of applying for incentives/rebates, describe how to get help with applications, and explain benefits of participating in the program. The presentations will include time for questions.

The meeting is open to representatives from government agencies and schools, and businesses in Manistee County. Expect the meeting to last approximately two hours. We hope that you will make every effort to attend and learn how to save money on your energy efficiency improvements and on future energy bills.
