COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH AGENCY ISSUES RFP TO
“CONNECT PEOPLE WITH SERVICES”
Manistee and Beulah, Michigan – The Manistee-Benzie Community Mental Health (MBCMH) agency has issued a request for proposals from qualified firms for an initiative to improve and expand access to the programs and services they provide. A total of $9,500 is available through MBCMH for work with a contractor to design and implement a branding and communications program to inform all interests in Manistee and Benzie Counties about the type, availability and accessibility of programs to help people who have mental illnesses and developmental disabilities, including children.
“There are currently about 1,750 people, including children, who are receives services through our programs in Manistee and Benzie Counties,” said Ingemar Johansson, Chief Operating Officer of MBCMH. “This project is intended to let everyone know about the many services and programs that are available through our agency, the technical abilities and experience of our agency staff and the commitment we have to doing our part to make our counties communities of choice for current and future residents, businesses and organizations.”
A “Connecting People with Services Leadership Team” has been assembled by MBCMH to review proposals and select a consultant. The consultant will work with the Leadership Team to design and implement communications programs initiatives, including a web page to encourage maximum use of MBCMH programs.
The Manistee-based Alliance for Economic Success (AES) is coordinating the RFP process at the request of MBCMH coordinate the RFP process. Proposals are to be submitted to the AES in writing by 5 p.m. on August 9, 2010 with a goal of completing the project by the end of September.
