CEO OF COLDWELL BANKER WILL LEAD GROUND BREAKING OF NEW MANISTEE COUNTY MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT
Arcadia, Michigan – Jim Gillespie, president and chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, will lead a July 24, 2009 ribbon cutting of Arcadia Highlands, a new mixed use residential development aimed at blending with the unique natural environment along the northern Manistee County Lake Michigan shoreline. The ribbon cutting will be held at 14552 Northwood Highway (M22), Arcadia, Michigan at 11:30 a.m. and includes live music, property tours and refreshments. Gillespie is a recognized expert on the nation’s real estate industry, having regularly appeared in that capacity on CNBC, CNN, Fox News, ABC, CBS and other media outlets.
Located on M-22 between the Villages of Onekama and Arcadia and encompassing 120 acres, a goal of Arcadia Highlands is to offer a variety of housing options while preserving existing orchards, trees and vegetation. The Highlands will also feature environmentally friendly bio-swales, specialty plants, and rain gardens, with an emphasis upon “green” construction methods.
Arcadia Highlands will offer an affordable option for those looking to relocate in Manistee County. There will be something for everyone in the form of cottages, multi-family homes, condos, and luxury homes, all built with an eye on affordability.
According to Barry Lind, airport manager at Manistee Blacker Airport, there has been a 50% increase in jet traffic, specifically an increase in individuals arriving to enjoy our outdoor amenities. So, for those who come from around the world to enjoy golf, Great Lakes fishing and the majesty of the Great Lakes, there will be an additional option to encourage them to extend their stay in Manistee County.
Arcadia Highlands will be open to the public on Saturday, July 25th, from 10am until 4pm – appointments are recommended by calling 800-279-1468 or by emailing sandy@coldwellbankeralm.com
