“WINDSPIRATION CELEBRATION” AVAILABLE TO ALL
Manistee, Michigan – If you weren’t able to join Michigan Governor Granholm and the 500 others who helped launch the production of “Windspire” on April 20, 2009, you can go to the web site of the Alliance for Economic Success and witness the entire event from the comfort of home (go to “Hot Topics” at www.allianceforeconomicsuccess.com)
The event, called “Windspiration Celebration,” marked the first day of manufacturing of “Windspire,” an appliance that converts the power of wind into energy for residences, businesses and governments. It is the world’s first volume produced small wind energy system and features quiet operation, ease of installation, an affordable price and is aesthetically appealing. Over 116 jobs will be created In Manistee over the next two years to ramp up production of “Windspire” to meet the global demand.
Made available by the Northwest Michigan Community Media Center courtesy of local producer Eric VanDussen, the 58 minute film captures the entire historic Manistee County event, including remarks by Governor Granholm; Mike Hess, Chief Executive Officer of Mariah Power and John Holcomb, General Manager of MasTech Manufacturing, as well as those from Renee’ Ihlenfeldt, Executive Director of the Alliance for Economic Success and City of Manistee Mayor Cyndy Fuller and her special presentation to Governor Granholm.
