NORTHPOINT INDUSTRIES, INC. AWARDED A LUCRATIVE NEW CONTRACT
Northpoint Industries, Inc. has been awarded a lucrative new contract from Witzenmann-USA, a tier-one supplier of flexible exhaust elements to John Deere. Included in the current contract are three stainless steel marmon flanges to be produced by Northpoint at an approximate total volume of 62,000 pieces per year for a minimum of four years.
Management from both Witzenmann’s U.S. headquarters in Detroit and their corporate headquarters in Pforzheim, Germany paid a visit to Northpoint late last month. They were quite pleased, noting that they were “very impressed with the operation, processes, cleanliness and organization”.
According to Martin Nelson, Jr., president of Northpoint Industries, “This contract not only benefits Northpoint in the financial short-term, as it increases our annual sales by ten percent. It creates a foundation for growth, especially considering that we are Witzenmann-USA’s very first production machining supplier. Furthermore, this contract helps us toward our goal of greater diversification. With the uncertainty of the automotive sector, it only makes sense that we pursue business elsewhere: in this case, the agricultural sector.”
