The Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce

The Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce is the area’s leader in business networking and development. Founded in 1916, it has nearly 100 years of history in Manistee County, based on the mission to promote the welfare of the City and County of Manistee and the surrounding territory. Today the Chamber is growing, with over 340 member businesses in the Manistee Area. The Chamber is responsible for bringing businesses together and advocating for success.

In addition to its internal programming, the Manistee Area Chamber is a partner with other area organizations such as the Alliance for Economic Success, Manistee Visitors Bureau, Manistee Downtown Development Authority, County and Tribal Government and West Shore Community College. Each year the chamber hosts the area’s largest business-to-business networking event, the Manistee Area Business Expo. With over 70 participating businesses and thousands making their way through the event center at the Little River Casino Resort’s beautiful event center, the Expo has been at the center for launching new business relationships between member businesses. 

The Manistee Jaycees

The Manistee Jaycees is a group specifically designed for young people under the age of 40 who network with other young professionals and grow the youth of our community in one of the oldest Jaycee chapters in the State of Michigan. The Manistee Jaycees are responsible for various community-based events throughout the year. The Roots on the River Summer Concert Series brings quality bluegrass and alternative music to Manistee. They also organize and sponsor an annual Easter Egg hunt for local children as well as the Manistee County Community Awards. 

The Manistee Downtown Development Authority

The Manistee Downtown Development Authority is a Michigan Main Street organization and allows people in the community to engage with local leaders and volunteers in four main areas including; design, marketing and promotions, economic development and organization of downtown programming. With an army of volunteers and exciting downtown events and programming, the MSDDA is a perfect place to network, get involved and truly be a part of the fabric of Manistee.
