The Alliance for Economic Success (AES) recently completed a three year strategic plan. The planning process utilized business and community focus groups, best practice research of economic development programs and practices of communities similiar to Manistee County and strategic input from national and state organizations and political leaders. The three year strategic plan includes a vision and supporting missions.
VISION
The AES's vision reflects the ideal state and can be summed up in one word; Prosperity.
This single word establishes a vision that can is relevent to all businesses, organizations, governments, agencies, families and individuals. AES is committed to recognizing each of their customer's unique definition of prosperity and will provide services customized to help them meet their vision of prosperity.
MISSIONS
The Alliance for Economic Success has three missions.
Retention, Expansion & Attraction. To be the recognized leader in customer service and meaningfully improving the economic well-being and quality of life for Manistee County through programs involving the retention, expansion and attraction of businesses and jobs.
Economic Development Cornerstones. To ensure and assist in creating an environment that makes Manistee County a first-choice community for new and existing businesses. AES will help to identify, facilitate and assist in the development and implementation of strategies to strengthen the cornerstones of economic development and job creation for Manistee County. Examples include improving the county’s infrastructure, health care, and educational and job training systems; thus positioning Mansitee County to best develop and compete for business and job growth.
Resource Development. To support the development of financial and human resources in order to meaningfully impact or influence the economic well-being and quality of life for Manistee County. Examples include: writing grants to support strategic projects, providing training opportunities to increase key capabilities in areas such as leadership, grant writing and best practice research.
